Aloo Gobi

This is a dish I always enjoyed. I tried atleast 100 different variations.. could never do it just like the punjabi's.
Yesterday I asked my neighbours mother to teach me
It is sooooooo Simple
200 gm potatos, cut in to big chunks
200 gm cauli flower, cut in to medium sized florets
1 onion chopped
grind 1 1/2 inch ginger, 4 cloves of garlic and 4 green chillies
Heat oil, add 1/2 t spn jeera, few seconds later, add the onion and the ground stuff, cook for a little while, add the potatoes and cauliflower, salt and a t spn of turmeric powder. Cook under low fire till the potatoes are done. Serve with roti.
